John Burkhauser, Director of Education

John Burkhauser became the Director of Education at BOLT ON TECHNOLOGY when he saw how technology will change the service process for the better. It is now his mission to show shops how they can have a more successful future, today. John knows firsthand the chaos that shops function with daily while just trying to get the job done. With an automotive career that spans more than three decades, John has been a technician, service adviser, and shop manager, giving him a real perspective on the complete service process that he brings to his training. As a freelance writer, John has written for companies such as CRC Industries and BOLT ON TECHNOLOGY, is an active member in the OAC of Eastern Center for Arts and Technology, and still maintains his ASE Master Technician certifications.

Carm Capriotto, AAP

Carm Capriotto is a career member of the automotive aftermarket. His experience on the jobber and distribution side of the industry kept his focus directly on the service professional. He held many roles, from company president to executive positions in store operations, systems and sales.

  • Carm admires the extremely successful service professional. “There is an entrepreneurial spirit there that makes them stand out.”
  • When Carm left the corporate world, he chose podcasting as the medium to present and share individual stories of success.
  • As the premier aftermarket podcaster, the ‘Voice of the Aftermarket’, he has not only spotlighted personal stories of achievement of service professionals, he has interviewed aftermarket business coaches, trainers, technicians, educators, students, association executives and female shop owners. Carm says ‘It’s like 60 minutes meets NPR’
  • Along with two new podcasts each week, he hosts a single subject Town Hall Academy. The forum is lead by aftermarket industry colleagues and is broadcast live on Facebook and repurposed as a seminar.
  • In March 2017 Remarkable Results Radio Podcast hit the 200th episode milestone.
  • Carm was honored with the Mort Schwartz Excellence In Education Award from the Auto Care Association in a presentation in September 2017 in San Francisco, CA.

Dan Foster

  • Born and Raised in CNY Area (near Auburn, NY)
  • Alumni Morrisville State College (Bachelor of Technology)
  • ASE Master Automobile Technician with A9 + L1
  • Worked as Technician in Independent Repair shop and GM Dealership
  • Been training with ACDelco for about 5 years
  • Provide technical and product training, as well as warranty support for ACDelco accounts in Upstate NY and Western PA. Also support GM Collision, Wholesale and Powertrain sales.

John Gillespie

John is an ASE CMAT L1 A9 certified technician, shop owner, instructor with forty years of experience in the trade. When not out on the road sharing cutting edge information and diagnostic routines he emphasizes diagnostics and electronics both in his shop and as a mobile diagnostic technician. This Evaporative Emissions class will teach your techs how to troubleshoot most evaporative emissions failures in under fifteen minutes without ever grabbing the smoke machine.

Aaron Roach, Regional Sales Manager

Aaron Roach has been a Regional Sales Manager covering the Northeast for Net Driven over the last two years. Through his knowledge of web development and his personal experience working with independent business owners, Aaron has cultivated a passion for creating customized solutions tailored to each of his clients’ needs. Aaron has traveled throughout the Northeast building relationships with both clients and partners, and speaking to business owners on a variety of topics related to websites and internet marketing. Aaron has single-handedly helped over 75 business owners build and maintain a powerful internet presence that continues to drive their business to this day.
